Ahmad came to onQ from Promethean, where he led a software engineering team of 60 and launched a series of successful global products, including ClassFlow, ClassFlow for Schools, and ActivConnect. His wide-ranging industry experience bridges software, banking & financial services, education, travel, construction, agriculture, real estate, media, advertisement, and retail.

He holds a BS in Computer Science, with high honors, from the Georgia Institute of Technology. (Go Tech!)

Ahmad enjoys time with his family, especially playing video games with his kids and listening to the pounding of drum beats and guitar riffs reverberating from his basement.

Before joining onQ, Scott was VP marketing solutions & global community for Promethean, where he led digital strategy and a global go-to-market launch for (ClassFlowTM) the company’s SaaS-based learning solution.

Prior to the education space with Promethean, Scott played leadership roles in building and growing software and digital business across real estate, healthcare, hospitality and financial services, as well as in marketing & technology services for companies like Hubzu, MindSpring, Silverpop and Loyaltyworks.

Scott garnered university honors as he earned a BA from the University of Michigan, and he holds a MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Scott enjoys all things outdoors (except during a three-week period when the trees bloom in Atlanta) and time with his family. He often can be found playing – and losing – to his son, Jake, across a range of online and card strategy games.

Most recently, Steve was a primary driver of Promethean’s transformation from education hardware to a SaaS-based learning company with the introduction of classflow.com which serves millions of teachers and students worldwide. At Spectrum K12 School Solutions, Steve helped drive a new vision for tracking students at risk from intervention through the full special education process. Spectrum K12 was acquired by Scantron in 2011.

Earlier in his career, Steve built a successful training & consulting business helping tens of thousands of software developers increase their skills and knowledge.

Steve holds a BBA in Decision Science from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.

Jim brings more than 40 years of enterprise-focused experience, leading high technology companies to profitability and market growth.  He has extensive C-suite experience in software, services, and hardware areas.

He was CEO of Promethean, PLC and led the company out of the recession into growth mode, as he created a new vision and direction for the company. Center to this was a new platform for the teacher to plan, prepare and deliver lessons real time. This new platform went from rapid design and build to viral adoption by millions of teachers, all in less than 36 months. Promethean was acquired in November of 2015 by Net Dragon Websoft, a leading software gaming and app store company.

Jim was also CEO at Spectrum K12 Schools Solutions, a provider of leading edge personalization software for schools, assisting school districts in improving performance for at risk and special education students.  The company was acquired by Scantron/Harland Clark Holdings in mid 2010.  He joined Promethean in April of 2011 from Harland Clark, where he had served as President of the SpectrumK12 business unit.

Before SpectrumK12, he was CEO at Agentis Software, working in the artificial intelligence space. At Agentis, he led funding rounds, a management buyout, multiple large new sales transactions and took the company to sustained profitability and a high return of capital multiple.

Prior to that assignment, Jim was Vice President of Apple’s US Education Division, leading the overall Education effort at Apple and moved the Division to craft and begin the 1:1 laptop initiative. This Division at Apple accounted for approximately 25% of the company’s annual revenues.

Jim has also held executive positions at Informix, Oracle Corporation, NeoMedia Technologies, Tandem Computers and Unisys/Burroughs. He has extensive experience in helping technology companies build and develop accomplished management, sales, marketing, professional services and channels teams.

Jim holds a BA in Management and General Sciences from the University of South Florida.

Honors and Service

A past member for over 15 years of the Cobb County Education Foundation, where he worked to help raise funds and drive awareness programs for the county’s school system. Jim was also a Director for the Florida Council on Economic Education, which was chartered with teaching fundamental finance and business concept to high school students.

During his career, Jim has been invited to give numerous keynote presentations, educational talks, speeches and seminars. Jim has received public recognition from the Governors of Michigan, Maine and Florida for his work in those states, and has been recognized by the State School System of Georgia for his contributions.   He is currently engaged with the University of South Florida, College of Business as a guest lecturer.

Henk is responsible for onQ business development and business operations throughout the international markets. He has 30 years of experience in a range of industries, including IT, Telecom, Consulting and Education/EdTech.

Prior to onQ, Henk was the Regional Vice President of business operations and sales for Promethean Ltd, a global market leader of interactive, digital learning technology solutions. Henk’s role included direct sales to governments and Ministries of Education, as well as channel sales through local business partners, for the Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Middle East regions.

He was the founder, co-owner and CEO of a highly successful ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) consulting and services company, providing global ICT solutions to large multinational companies and organizations. Henk then sold the company to a top brand global telecom provider.

Henk also served as Vice President for Equant’s global Network Services Division, (today part of the Orange Business Services Division of France Telecom) responsible for delivering the company’s suite of global telecommunication solutions to more than 800 global companies.

Prior to this, he held senior leadership positions in global operating ICT companies like BT (British Telecom) and DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation).

He holds a Swiss Federal Diploma in Business Administration and a degree in Business Economics from the Graduate School of Business Administration in Zurich, Switzerland. Further he attended INSEAD’s International Executive Program (IEP) in Fontainebleau, France and in Singapore.

Henk is well-traveled, enjoys exploring cities around the world, and is passionate as a skier and mountain biker. He has broad interests in the digital economy, including digital disruption as the next step of innovation in verticals. He’s also an Amazon Alexa Voice Service enthusiast.

Patty oversees all of our Client Services and Support. Prior to joining Understory, she ran The Reimagine Group, the company that incubated the Understory software application until it was ready to spin out into its own organization.

Patty graduated Magna Cum Laude in three years with a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech. She has a passion for start-ups and Understory is the fourth she has come alongside. At The Reimagine Group, she helped launch the company’s online presence and grew sales that outpaced established competitors in the market. She also oversaw the creation of the Understory application. As such, she has been part of the entire lifecycle of the concept of Understory and is incredibly honored to be part of its continued growth.

In the evenings, she can often be found playing board games with her three kids and husband, of which she is the reigning household champion of “Splendor.”

Jack Alexander is an entrepreneur, speaker, author, coach, and businessman with extensive experience in commercial real estate, business services, technology, and production of short films. He was cofounder and CEO of BCD Travel, which under his leadership grew from a local travel agency to the third largest travel management firm in the US. He has also been Chairman or CEO of four successful software companies, including TRX and The Rainmaker Group.

In 2002, he started a three-year initiative to inspire successful businesspeople to make commitments to the vulnerable around the world. Projects were funded in 26 countries and he later founded The Reimagine Group to produce and distribute high impact short films featuring stories to inspire people to embrace holistic generosity. This work has stimulated communities around the United States and has raised nearly $200 million.

A recipient of the Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year award, Jack also is a winner of six global awards in the corporate travel and hospitality arena. In 2005, he received the Family Honors Award as a businessman who made a positive impact on the American family.

Jack holds a BA in Economics and Accounting from Duke University.

He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Lisa. They have three grown sons and three grandsons.
